27 July 2021 was the date set for the summer festival at the Neustadt convent. Only the second one – yet it already felt like a bit of a tradition.  As was the previous festival, this one was a celebration for the staff to meet each other and with the sisters of the convent and their fellow sisters from Lohr and Marktheidenfeld.

Since last year, new staff members have joined us.  Not all of them know one other personally because their working times are so different.  Therefore, it is simply good to come together beyond the normal working times. Of course, the Corona regulations were strictly adhered to: many already have had he double vaccination protection, some have fully recovered from Covid-19, the others had tested negative.

In somewhat overcast weather, just right for the day, all met in the inner courtyard of the convent, an ambience that invites one to linger in the well-tended flower garden.

Tables, benches and umbrellas were set up where many an encounter and good and friendly conversations were possible, albeit with the necessary safety distance.

At lunch, there were grilled food and salads, and in the afternoon there was a cake buffet. Everything went really well because everyone contributed to the success with their skills and abilities.

There is no question: the summer festival must become and remain a tradition.

That's why everyone is already looking forward to seeing one another again next year.
