Our sisters Hilke Stenner and Marie-Luise Faupel are members of the home advisory board of the Senior Residence Kist. Both were elected by the residents on 11 June 2023 for the next two years to the committee, which has been in existence for five years.
The home advisory board is a central participatory body and makes provision for a representation of interests of the residents in the retirement home. Through it, the residents have a say in matters concerning the running of the home, such as the conditions of stay, the rules of the home, catering and leisure activities. It is a consultation body and a link between the home management and the residents and is involved in all decisions in which the residents have a right of participation.
In the facility in Kist, the candidates running for election had already been proposed in writing by the residents. 66 residents took part in the election on 11 June, which was a high turnout according to the home's management. Seven people - two men and five women - were elected to the advisory board, two of whom are now our sisters Hilke and Marie-Luise.
