A celebration for all

[Translate to English:]

Members of Caritas from the Verulam Parish visited Ekukhanyeni on Palm Sunday and provided a briyani lunch and entertainment for the patients, the staff and the Sisters.

Ekukhanyeni over the years has been the beneficiary of different parish groups from Verulam and Oakford, brining with them a meal and donations of items such as pyjamas and other clothing for the patients.  The clothing is  or use at the centre and for  patients to take with them when they are discharged to go home.

The visitors on this occasion encouraged a sing-along, accompanied by Sr Lidia on the guitar and agile movements from Sr Immaculata.

The centre is also the grateful beneficiary of weekly food donations made by Woolworths through the St Vincent de Paul Society which gives away food which has reached its sell-by date. Even the auditor of the financial accounts remarked that it is noticeable that the donations go a long way to cutting the monthly food bill of the centre.
