Congratulation Sr Christiane!
‘You are not alone in your faith’ – a grateful look back over 75 years. On Saturday, 6 July 2024,Sr. Christiane Sartorius OP celebrated her 75th birthday and looked back on her life with gratitude. ‘Divine Providence plays a major role for me,’ she had said on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee of Profession as an Oakford Dominican, which she celebrated on 11 June 2023.
She celebrated her thanksgiving service with her fellow Sisters in Kist, together with Father Nikolaus Hegler, a long-standing friend. Sr. Paula-Mary and Sr. Alison from the Congregational Leadership, who were on a working visit in Kist, joyfully celebrated with her.
In the afternoon, Sr. Christiane's brother and his family, as well as other companions, joined the celebration and there was a lively exchange over coffee and cake.
‘We who believe are not alone,’ was the line from a hymn that Sr Christiane chose as the theme for her day. And the day of celebration with her guests confirmed her experience.
The jubilarian was actively supported by women from Neustadt and the coordinator of the Sisters in Kist, so that the celebration could take place so successfully.
Sr Christiane lives in Lohr and has been a member of the Congregation's leadership since January 2011, responsible for the affairs of the Congregation in Neustadt/Main and Kist.
We wish her good health, energetic commitment, lively encounters and community, and, above all, God's abundant blessings!
