On 8th August children and teachers of “Convent School of our Lady of Natal” heard about the life of St Dominic and his mission.

The “Convent School of our Lady of Natal” marked St Dominic’s Day on August 8th, also presenting the Sisters at St Dominic’s with flowers and a cake.

The theme colours for the day were – naturally - black and white and children and teachers alike all heard about the life of St Dominic and his mission.

Sr Marie-Ann Main continues to teach religious education and she had prepared material on St Dominic for the day.

Several little boys were keen to wish the Sisters a Happy St Dominic’s Day and to acknowledge Sr Marie-Ann’s role in their classes.

The school has been able to extend its teaching and learning space since taking occupation of the former convent building.

One key need for the school was additional space to cater for robotics and coding, now part of the school curriculum even in the Junior Primary classes.

A new library and reading room now occupy what had been the convent chapel.
