Happy Birthday, Sr Anna-Rose!
On September 5th, our Sister Anna-Rose Ngubane OP celebrated her 70th birthday. Surrounded by her fellow Sisters at Ekukhanyeni – one of our mission stations near Durban, South Africa – she enjoyed her special day.
Together with Srs Lidia, Immaculata, and Natalie, Sr. Anna-Rose celebrated the occasion, feeling touched and grateful for the attention on her birthday. A neighbor lovingly baked the birthday cake especially for the day.
Sr. Anna-Rose is far from retired. She continues to dedicate her energy to the well-being of the community and the AIDS center. In the center's kitchen, she actively assists, ensures good meals, and supports people with guidance and help.
Additionally, she has started her own vegetable garden, growing fresh produce that enriches the community's meals. Everything tastes even better when it comes from one's own cultivation, and this way, shopping costs can be saved and sensibly used where they are most urgently needed.
May Sr. Anna-Rose continue to find strength, joy, and inspiration on this path. Her dedication and tireless commitment are a blessing for the community and for all who benefit from her work.
