Joy and gratitude at seeing each other again

[Translate to English:]

The former graduates with Sisters Evangelist (seated, second from right), Bernadette (standing, second from left) and Maria Theresa (standing, sixth from left).

The reunion was marked by great joy, warmth and fond memories when a group of ten former students from St. Theresa's Girls High School in Manzini, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), visited retired sisters. The Dominican sisters now live in Villa Assumpta, a retirement home in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.

The representatives of the classes of 1973, 1974 and 1979 proudly recounted their professional careers, which include lecturer in consumer science, agricultural economist, nurse, lawyer, doctor and teacher. Grateful and full of admiration for the women who had played such a decisive role in their lives, they looked back on their time at school, where the foundations for their later successful careers had been laid.

Sister Evangelist as headmistress, Sister Maria Theresa as boarding school director, Sister Fabiola, bookkeeper and typist, and Sr. Bernadette had played a decisive role in the women's lives. Sister Hermine and Sister Hildegunde have already passed away, and they remembered them at their graves.

The reunion was a wonderful opportunity to look back gratefully on their time together and reminisce about precious memories.
