In November 2024, Sr Lidia Maria Danyluk ran her first marathon. On December 11, she celebrated her 60th birthday together with her fellow Sisters in Ekukhanyeni.
“It was a wonderful day when I celebrated my 60th birthday!!!! Of these 60 years, I have lived 36 years in Argentina and 24 years in South Africa. I spent 41 years in the convent after Sr. Irma and our late Sr. Maria brought me from my small community of St. Anthony of Padua to the convent in 25 de Mayo in March 1983,” says Sr. Lidia.
Sr. Lidia celebrated her birthday with a Mass and her fellow Sisters had prepared a delicious lunch for the her.
Afterwards there was cake baked by Ronel, a parishioner of the Good Shepherd Parish in Phoenix.
Sr Lidia were happy to share the cake with everyone, with the staff and patients of the Ekukhanyeni Aids Centre.
