Mr. Fauhaber, the mayor of Kist, congratulates the sisters. Sr. Marie-Lu, who is missing from the photo, celebrated her birthday with her relatives in her home country.
Four sisters - 345 years of life: this was the motto under which four sisters celebrated their milestone birthdays at the Kist retirement home in September. Sr. Melanie and Sr. Gisela celebrated their 90th birthday, Sr. Ursula her 85th and Sr. Marie-Lu her 80th.
Relatives came from far and wide to attend the celebration, as did other guests from Volkersberg and Neustadt. The sisters from Lohr and Marktheidenfeld also joined in the celebrations and the mayor of Kist, Mr. Faulhaber, congratulated them personally.
All the best and God's blessing to the sisters for the future. May they continue to look at their lives with gratitude - like the prayer in Psalm 92:
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to play to your name, O most high.
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
spring up in the courts of our God:
Even in old age they flourish,
to proclaim: Righteous is the Lord.
