Lights of hope were lit

Dominican Sisters in Neustadt celebrate Women's World Day of Prayer together with their co-workers.

“I alone know what I intend to do with you, - says the LORD - plans of peace and not of calamity; I will give you a future and hope.” (Jer 29:11)

This sentence of the prophet Jeremiah was the focus of the Women's World Day of Prayer, which the Dominican Sisters in Neustadt celebrated together with their co-workers on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Plan for the future: Hope - around this motto the sisters had prepared prayers, readings, stories of hope and intercessions, and in addition, lights of hope were lit.

The World Day of Prayer was formulated this year by women from England, Wales and Northern Ireland and celebrated worldwide in all 7 continents. The sisters thus joined in a common interdenominational prayer and felt connected to all women who need a light of hope in their lives, but especially to all refugee women with their children from Ukraine. The special prayer of all sisters was for them.
